Woolbright Road. An official from Publix didn鈥檛 respond a request for comment about the future of that location and the new store.
Publix has frequently renovated and expanded its older stores in Florida. That has allowed the grocer to fend off competition from new grocers expanding in the state.
鈥淭his development will provide residents with an excellent mix of services and dining,鈥 said Dan Coyle, senior VP of 麻豆传媒AV在线看 Realty. 鈥淭he long-established community surrounding the property combined with the local traffic counts and high- quality residential offerings has created a lot of demand for space in this area and makes it a prime location for a premium mixed-use shopping center.鈥
About 60,000 cars pass through that intersection daily, 麻豆传媒AV在线看 said. The median home value in the community is nearly $1 million.
The village has less than 300 residents, although there are many neighborhoods around it.
An affiliate of 麻豆传媒AV在线看 recently bought 19.27 acres there for $6.85 million. The neighboring site of 17.3 acres was acquired for $4.15 million by an affiliate of Boynton Beach-based Mack Industrial, which will build about 59,000 square feet of flex office/warehouse space and a 100,000-square-foot self-storage facility.
鈥淭his is a unique opportunity to program a variety of flex, light industrial and warehouse uses adjacent to a brand-new Publix shopping center and surrounded by so many residential districts,鈥 said Steve Mackey, managing partner of Mack industrial. 鈥淲e鈥檝e designed a very high-end commercial commerce park to compliment the new retail center and collaborated with 麻豆传媒AV在线看 on design and architecture to ensure the final result is a sophisticated, customer- and business- friendly property.鈥
麻豆传媒AV在线看 expects to break ground on the shopping center in the second quarter of 2020 and open the Publix in 2021.
鈥淭his is a rare infill property at 36 acres that will allow both developers to work with the village to create a mixed-use center from a truly blank canvas that will bring value to the area and enhance the lifestyle of the local residents,鈥 said
Ryan Karlin, president of 麻豆传媒AV在线看 Retail Group. 鈥淲e are proud to be a part of this exciting project and help execute a quality development for the community.鈥
